First time I stayed at Acoya…property is nice, but needs minor maintenance to keep the level high..staff was very friendly and helpful…what I did not like was the loud music at night…I wanted to rest…that was a dealbreaker for me

We enjoyed our stay. The villa was large and well equipped. Having a private pool was great! We were able to cook some meals since the unit has a complete kitchen. The only complaints that I have about the villa are the bathroom lighting is terrible. It is not bright enough to see how to put on makeup or to shave. Also, you need to make guests aware that they should bring adapters as they have nothing but 220 power and all of my needs were for 110. The hotel will loan you an adapter though, if you ask. The entire facility was very clean and the landscaping was lush and well kept. The maid service was excellent. The front desk receptionists were all very friendly but do struggle with the language. We requested a cab for 7am and my confirmation from the cab company was for 3:00 pm. When I went down to talk to them about it, they did correct it but I never received another confirmation. Therefore, I was unsure we would actually get the taxi. We had an issue where the restaurant and bar claimed we didn’t pay a bill for a lunch. My daughter paid and had the confirmation on her phone. 3days later at 9pm someone from the bar came over to our room and said the bill had not been paid. My husband paid it again telling them he thought our daughter had paid it. The next morning they both went down to talk to the manager. He claimed that someone came up on the previous day and gave our room number, ordered food and skipped out on the bill. We got it taken care of but the manager was rude

Nice big apartment. Very clean and all amenities. Including balcony. Room is quiet, nice view and pool. Close to everything. Good recommendations for activities outside the resort. Overall, really good place to stay and close to Mambo beach. Covid testing at hotel makes it better. Overall service is great.

On checking in, we were told that since our booking was somehow not through Expedia (I did book through Expedia, they said it came through "Embarque.com") our room type was not available and we would be given a lower grade. When we got to the room, there was a dead cockroach in the hall outside the room and ants inside the room. Besides that, the room was dirty and dusty. Later in the day we were told that because of a cancelation, our room type was not available. This room was cleaner, however it lacked maintenance. There was no shower door so every time you took a shower the bathroom floor would get wet. Furniture was damaged and walls were in need of paint. Definitely not worth over $300 a night.

I didn't like the fact that the Restaurants closes at 11 p.m. We had a late flight and we couldn't find something to eat. Next time we will pack sandwiches just in case.

Perfect place, nice apartment. Food dan drinks at the restaurant are considered to be expensive, at least from our perspective
