Palais Zahia

Excellent location. Close to ferry port, train station. Located just inside Médina, markets, shops and restaurants are close by. Hotel breakfasts are great. Staff are very friendly and quick to offer knowledgeable assistance and advice. A special shoutout to Joseph, the Professor “Google” of Palais Zahia, a genuine source of information.

Everything about Palais Zahia was wonderful. The food is a standout. Delicious. Would definitely stay again.

There was an atrocious smell of sewage in our bathroom. We were offered a different room but it was worse. The hotel did not dispute the existence of the smell and explained that sewage backed up from time to time. We were happy we had only booked for one night which was bearable as the bathroom door kept most of the smell in. Obviously this ruined our stay.

This place is gorgeous, truly a palace! I have never stayed in such a beautiful property as this.

This beautiful riad in the Medina is near to almost everything of interest. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The Riad hosts an excellent Moroccan restaurant and the breakfasts have both Moroccan and European items and is very good. There is a rooftop terrace/bar with wonderful views out over the port and straits of Gibraltar. The bedroom was comfortable and everything worked perfectly. They offer a car and driver for transfers to the port and train station without cost. It is hard to imagine a more fascinating and satisfactory place to stay in Tangiers.

This was an absolutely STUNNING hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We checked in the evening of 31 Aug, and the staff working the reception desk were incredible! I made mention that I loved the Moroccan Tea, and the doorman/bellman went above and beyond to go out and purchase me the tea and traditional teapot. We stayed in the Sultan Suite, and it was gorgeous! Unfortunately, we were only able to stay one night, but I would stay here again if we’re ever able to make it back to Tangier!

Such a gorgeous place!!. from the moment we arrived with our wonderful welcome mint tea! We had a 2 bedroom Room, perfect for the kids they had their own too. All decorated absolutely beautiful! They even provide a cell phone for you to be able to call or text and you can use the gps if you get lost in the Médina! Our breakfast was amazing!! And they treat you like royalty! We took a whole day tour with the most amazing guide Magid!! He was so knowledgeable, it was a pleasure to spend the whole day with him! He made it so easy for us! Make sure to call to try to book with him cause If you’re there you need to take a tour with Magid!! He’s the best!! The next day we decided to go Chefchaouen and Badr drove us.., him and his Dad Hasán were our drivers during our stay.. they were so helpful and trustworthy and fun to talk too!!! Thank you so much for making our stay so great!!!

The staff helped make the experience. Shout outs to Yosef for all his efforts, above & beyond, and Majid for turning a two hour tour into a five hour one, just because we were all having such a good time. Either would be welcome in our home as they made us feel welcome in "their's".
