If you go down Shoreline "Bay front" you will come across the T-heads. Very pretty. Further down you come across many piers to fish. There is a great family area "Cole Park". Has amazing pier to walk down and fish. There are many food trucks.

I'm the least beach-person in my family but I do enjoy hanging out with the family at the beach. Corpus seems to have a nice variety of restaurants and shops. We ate dinner at Seafood and Spaghetti and breakfast at Hesters! Yum!

USS Lexington was great to visit, Padre Island is beautiful, and the Museum of Science and History is something to do with kids, and it is informative for adults too. The historic buildings close to the museum are beautiful.

Lexington and Texas State Aquarium are must sees. Beach is always fun with the family. Besides that there's not much else to do there family wise but be honest, you're there for the beach and a few memorable sights.

Corpus Christi is overall a nice coastal city to visit. There are some gritty industrial areas but can be avoided when you know the area.

Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi
10/10 Excellent
"I stay here frequently when visiting my family in the area. Always friendly staff and very clean. Some of the property is not 100% (older bathtubs, but always clean), but it's not meant to be a five star hotel. Just clean, convenient, comfortable, and reasonable price - with excellent, friendly staff."
Extended Stay America Suites Corpus Christi Staples

"Pretty good for the price. The room was overall clean and decent. We got a room with a pull out couch, but didn't use it because the mattress was kinda grungy. That could use some attention.
The door to the pool area slammed loudly every time someone went out, the anti-slam mechanism could use an update."
Executive Residency by Best Western Corpus Christi
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely LOVED my 2-night stay at Executive Residency by Best Western Corpus Christi!. The #1 highlight? The kitchenette. I’m talking stove, microwave, silverware, glasses, plates, full-size fridge, and even a pitcher inside! It felt like a mini apartment. I was genuinely thrilled. The room itself? Top-notch. Glass shower doors, sleek wash basin, super comfy beds, everything screamed quality. Cleanliness? Spotless. Staff? Friendly and helpful. My only tiny knock was the lack of a recycle bin in the room, but there was one by the hall. Overall, for the price and quality, this place is a hidden gem. HIGHLY recommend!
