This is a lovely riad, well-kept, clean, good location. The lounge upstairs is very cosy with outstanding ocean views. Very relaxing, calm atmosphere. Best of all is the warm, friendly, kind staff. They were truly hospitable as we were there during the stressful coronavirus time. They cooked dinner for us at no cost and generously offered us their kitchen and food and anything else we needed as Essaouira shut down. We will never forget this kindness. Highly recommend this property.

Amazing Views in Great Location

Lovely Riad in an absolutely amazing location. Close to the ramparts of the city and easy walking distance to everywhere in the medina. Cannot beat the views of the ocean from the breakfast room! Wish it had been warmer when we were there, because the rooftop terrace looked amazing! Staff were all wonderful and very helpful with arranging transportation for us. Breakfast was delicious too. Room was comfortable and clean, even if minimal frills. Be advised: cars are not allowed where the Riad is located, so you either need to carry your suitcases a decent distance or hire someone with a cart. Having the staff arrange for someone to meet us at the riad with a cart and having a cab waiting outside the medina for us was incredibly helpful.

beautiful view

the sea view from the main room is amazing and the breakfast is very good. location is convenient and we felt a good sense of hospitality. just the room is quite small and basic.

We really enjoyed staying at Riad Kalifa, mostly because we were always welcome with a big smile, Musin was amazing, super kind and always pointing us in the right direction with food, what to visit.... the Riad is beautiful, very cosy, and holy. We slept like babies in those bed. I read some reviews about the humidity since is close to the beach. I am sensitive to humidity and I didn’t feel that at all. Breakfast was amazing! Definitely staying at Riad Kalifa made a difference in how we experienced Essaouira. Defiantly I recommend staying there

Beautiful Riad and Excellent Customer Service

My stay at Riad Kafila was a very good experience. The riad was not difficult to find, and I was greeted with such kindness and hospitality as soon as I arrived. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

This is a cute hotel tucked away on the far side of the medina, nestled against the windswept ocean walls. The highlight is surely the wonderful breakfast set against the backdrop of an incredible ocean view. The staff here were friendly and efficient. My room on the ground floor was basic but clean. The only window was out into the attractive courtyard. Good wifi and a terrace with dramatic ocean views. There's also a fantastic restaurant just around the corner.
