Friendly staff, great accommodations, close to the turtles. Enjoyed my time there!

Slightly disappointing and bad location. Run by a pleasant western woman but a lot of the local staff are a bit off and seem disinterested.

Friendly staff . Clean rooms . Recognizing Expedia VIP with some sparkling wine . Good breakfast.

The property was beautiful, amenities were great, everyone was friendly and helpful. The only negative thing was the cost of meals and drinks being in USD and more expensive than other places in the area.

Great independent hotel, it was a paradise. Rooms are large and clean. Food at breakfast, lunch and dinner were all of very good quality. The whole place is kept spotless, and the 2 pool areas are a bonus. We preferred the quieter pool at the back, definitely recommend.

Overall the resort is lovely. All staff are just fabulous and the grounds are very well kept. The room was very spacious. The only reason for 4 stars was the power issue. I know it wasn’t the fault of the resort but we had no power at night not even to run the fan or any lights (better not have to use the toilet). In addition, the AC didn’t work so it was just 33 degree damp air with no movement. Still the staff were fabulous and if they can get the power sorted out it would be a full 5 stars!

One of a kind jewel near the beach at Nungwi. Fantastic restaurant, two beautiful pools and lovely gardens. Excellent staff and great hands on owners. Large rooms with balconies. No need to leave the property except maybe to shop in the nearby village

The property has two swimming pools and lush gardens. It feels very private. The owners live on site and have created a warm, family feel to the resort. It is delightful and we highly recommend it for a stay in Nungwi. Delicious food in the restaurant with a different menu each evening. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Great place to stay!

We had 3 nights stay at Aluna hotel in Dec 2019. Aluna is located 5 min from Nungwi beach that you access from a private road. The Hotel has a great garden and 2 pool areas, free wifi, two bar-restaurants, lounge area and small boutique. The hotel it has been renovated and the new rooms are designed beautifully and paying attention to thoughtful touches. The rooms are spacious and very clean, bed is very comfortable and some of the rooms has a great jacuzzi in the terrace/yard. The staff is super welcoming and friendly, and the food is healthy and tasty. We loved the Dorado, one of the tastiest in Zanzibar! Thumbs up to the chef!! Furthermore, the hotel has great initiatives, like selling a beautiful design water bottle that you can refill anytime, reducing the consumption of plastic and taking home a nice souvenir. Just super! The tuk tuk service is a quick, fun, and cheap way to travel to kendwa or nungwi. We wanted to travel longer distances, since it was a really cool way to go around. Once we arrived, we had a big confusion with the room type, but Caroline and Tom, fix it making our stay much better. The only minus was to book the blue safari with the local company. We had a terrible experience and ruin our day. Thanks to Caroline and Tom for cheer us up, they are really kind and great owners. If you are looking for a good hotel in Nungwi, that’s the only choice in our opinion! Mantas and Maria.

A lovely community feeling with friendly faces both from the staff to the visitors. A great vibe and special little place. The Fish BBQ on Friday night was excellent! Breakfast was simple but plenty and other food ordered from the restaurant was always great.
