Amazing vacation Destination with tons of locals involved in tourism and not a bunch of chain junk. Even though there is an awesome Rainforest Cafe to check out it even has a ride! Definitely recommend taking a trip seeing the dolphins on the coast!

Galveston combines two of my passions, the beach and history. That little island has seen so much happen over the years that you can't turn around and not see something from the past still living today. It's also full of ghost if you're into that.

Moody Gardens for a fun family day is the way to go! Our family is 2 A and 2 C...We paid $240 with the military rate and had full access to all of the exhibits and attractions. To include a steam boat ride. You can also bring in your own food.

Galveston was a wonderful town. Very friendly, clean and safe. There were many cute bars and restaurants in the area. The Sugar and Rye was great, the food was delicious and the drinks were creative and vibrant. We'd love to visit again soon!

Love the Seawall area. You can rent umbrellas/chairs/boogie boards right on the beach. Also, from time to time people come around selling slushies and tamales. You can see people of all ages and demographics fishing. Family fun. Want to go again.

Being a Minnesota native, it was an incredibly phenomenal experience seeing ocean, palm trees, and an affordable fee for helicopter rides. I really enjoyed the pier, the bigger waves in an actual ocean, seeing beach patrons fish around sunset.

Galveston is a great place for family friendly fun, with a slight New Orleans flare! Ghost tours are a must, you learn so much history of the area! Mardi Gras is an amazing event, and extremely safe thanks to the PD presence! Enjoy your trip!

The Elissa is worth a visit every trip to Galveston. Sea Wolf park is always a great place to explore. The train museum is never boring. It is always fun to walk down the strand and grab a drink at the shirt shop and taffy/chocolate. Beach!!
"covered parking was really nice in the building that doesn't allow pets. It was very efficient. The hotel staff was wonderful. The breakfast is just to grab and go so no real protein It would be nice to have at least cream cheese and peanut butter
we would definitely stay a game. The value is amazing. It's not walkable distance from the beach really though it does sit next to a waterpark but you don't get any discounts. It has putt golf, which is nice and their own little pool and they did a good job keeping everything really clean no weird smells or anything like that. "
"Great: location, staff, beach access across the street, indoor and outdoor pool access, excellent restaurant, "Doc Holliday's" next door and a McDonalds.
The place despite being a beach hotel was very clean. For us it is nice that it was pet friendly, for a price!"
"Clean room just like we expected sheets smelled like used or not very well washed but I was very tired from a long day at the beach we just knocked out really quick. Kitchen was just like we expected clean included soap, sponge and kitchen utensils. Breakfast was delicious overall i would recommend and i would definitely book again just bringing my own sheets this time."
"We had a wonderful time! The property was very kid friendly and the location was excellent. It looks like it had just been refurbished because everything looked new. Every staff member was professional and super nice. Will definitely return to the property again. "
