The Island just feels remote and quiet. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Did not feel touristy at all. Beaches were very clean and family friendly. We cannot wait to go back and explore the area some more. Great mini golf too! Loved it!

Good
Lots of excellent restaurants, good shopping, easy to get around by car, more so during the off season. Avoid Saturdays (change over day) during the high season months or traffic will ruin your mood and day.

Good
A great option for an off season getaway. Beaches are beautiful. Food is good. Golf is good if you don't mind alligators. No nightlife to speak of. Most places close at 9 to 10pm.

I've never seen so many well-maintained bike paths. You can literally bike all over the on dedicated, paved pathways.

Always love HHI...had some great seafood and the island is kept very clean and has lots of natural beauty. You can tell that they work very hard to keep their island beautiful and as natural as possible without fast food signs etc. in your face.

Hilton head Island is beautiful and I would go back there again however the sea is very shallow so it's difficult to get a good swim

"Close to everything and plenty of amenities. Family friendly and clean. Only problem was had to go to showing like a time share to get deals from hotel on golf and tickets. "
"Great location. Only issue was the elevators. When we arrived, one of the two guest elevators in our building was down. The second day, the orher elevator broke, leaving everyone in the building with only the service elevator. By the time we left, only one of the two guest elevators had been repaired. Other than that, the place was great. "
