Booked a king bed room. They put us next to the elevator where the elevator made a horrible noise ALL night. We heard the noise the elevator makes when we first arrived. My husband ask if they could move our room away from the elevator but we were told no. Beds were kind of hard. And breakfast was average. For the price of the room and parking we will probably not come back just because of the customer service and not being able move away from the noisy elevator. And the hotel was not very busy the weekend that we were there so available rooms were not a problem.

Check in nightmare- Downtown

Hotel is downtown. There were no luggage carts. The lady who checked us in told us there was nothing she could do. She said we would just have to wait even if it was hours or just take our bags up without one. I had two small children, my wife and a dog. So not very easy to take a few bags up at once. Showed up at 5 p.m., check in was for 3 p.m. No rooms were ready for us. She gave me attitude and tolled here eyes when i expressed my frustration. Went floor by floor to find luggage carts. There were several not returned. Someone from housekeeping said the lady at front desk only needed to radio them and they would of gladly brought one down.

Great location and nice rooms

Stayed one night here to do downtown Dallas things. Clean, updated, friendly staff, great location.

Our room on the 19th floor was spacious, clean, and it had a nice view. Breakfast was decent. Everything else was downhill from there. The front desk person lacked any soft skills to greet incoming guests let alone manage bigger problems. From the first 2 minutes in the room, we discovered the toilet did not flush. We did not think it to be a problem and we simply called to ask that they send someone to fix. We then went out to enjoy downtown. Upon our return, we discovered that the toilet was still not flushing. It was too late but we called to let them know that we would need someone, early the next morning, to fix toilet. The next day, we reminded the front desk that we needed to have the problem fixed just to have them tell us that there was no one to do that at the moment. My husband asked for an adjacent room where we could use the bathroom but, according to the front desk attendant, we will be charged for another day and she then added that we could use the bathrooms in the lobby. My husband did use the bathroom in the lobby but then he asked for and a plunger was delivered 20 minutes later to the room. We solved our problem within seconds and a few minutes before our departure. This was an embarrasing experience and it could have been handled much better from the beginning; however, the front desk was not motivated to find a solution and, Alex, the manager, was texted several times, but decided to recuse himself; it's a shame.

My room 1803 AC was broken for the entire stay. Chris ( staff) tried his best to help me but they were fully booked. He wrote a note for the resort manager to call me and make it right. Before I checked out I asked to speak with the manager but was told he wouldn’t start until 3pm. I called after 3pm and the staff advised they knew of the situation and that Alex would return my call. The manager failed to make it right or call me. I will be contacting Marriot corporate to complain.

Very beautiful hotel. Staff is awesome. Delicious breakfast. Just didnt like that only 1 elevator was working. So the wait was not good at all. But over all awesome. This is my go to hotel in downtown Dallas from now on.

Disappointed customer

Definitely not a good experience. The elevators were not working so we had to take the stairs up and down to our 19th floor. I’m not in good health and I have bad knees. I was extremely disappointed that the manager was not on duty to talk to. It was a no big deal that their customers were being inconvenienced.

Good weekend getaway

The beds were super comfy and the room was huge. Unfortunately, there's a nightclub across the street and on Friday night the music was beyond loud until around 2am. Saturday night they still played music but was tolerable with a sleep sound app to drown out the rumble. If you're into desserts check out the macaroon ice cream sandwiches from Joy on the first floor.
