What a fantastic place to visit. So much to see and do. All wishing easy walking distance. Highly recommend the street art trail. Carnarvon Street has some excellent food stalls. My Own Cafe asam laksa and spring rolls are not to be missed.

The guided tours in Peranakan Mansion is worth the RM25 entrance fee and more. If you have to choose between Blue Mansion and Peranakan Mansion, then I suggest Peranakan Mansion.

It's a good walkable town with plenty of sites temples and interesting architecture to see. There are loads of dining options for all budgets... Street food, Chinese food is the least expensive and there's Indian food, best got in little India.

Gentrification has set in, inevitably. Many new and hip cafes have emerged since our last visit in 2013. Hawker food standards have dipped slightly.

Free CAT bus around central area.Georgetown is lovely but the pavements aren't great. You need to walk in the road.

"I planned to stay for 2 nights but extended to 3 rd night , hopefully with a discounted rate on a Monday but not given, Stayed anyway due to Comfort , beautiful beach area , surrounding, bar was great too. Room 1614 was cozy & clean."
"Wonderful hotel, room is spacious and clean. Bathtub in the center of the toilet. Just be aware the toilet uses a curtain to cover up. Bed was cosy with options to request for different types of pillows. located in the center of town. Shopping malls just across the road. A great location will be definitely go back again. Oh and the door man named Vignesvaran provided excellent service and very helpful on how to use the automated carpark system. "
