Great people, great location, great price!

I traveled with my family of 7 and stayed for 10 days. We arrived at 1AM and were greeted by Rachel, the owner. She was very welcoming and even brought us water and milk for the morning. We had breakfast at the hotel on the first day and it was great. They even made fresh croissants. Understand that Rachel is a new owner and at the time of our stay, the 2nd floor was under total renovation. We stayed in old rooms. The rooms were ok, but the bathrooms really left something to be desired. However, if we wanted the Kempinski, we would have paid for that. That was completely overlooked because EVERY SINGLE staff person was amazing. They tended to our every need and arranged anything we asked. The bar was newly renovated and the bar atmosphere was also great. We got dinner and rounds of mock tails for the kids. I took a dive with my older kids (10 & 12) and felt very comfortable. The equipment and instruction was top notch! Please ignore any reviews before the current owner, now is a very different story. We will be back and I would highly recommend due to the amazing customer service, atmosphere, and price. You will get more than you pay for, for sure!

Dirty and basic, in a good location.

Good Staff was friendly enough, even when I had emailed them prior to arriving, and the hotel is close to the sea. The kitchen and living areas are rather spacious. The air conditioning works well. Bad Filthy. When walking around barefoot, I got sand and dust stuck to my feet. The sofa had visible stains. The “double bed” is just two singles next to each other. And there are no electricity sockets next to one side of the bed. There are really pedantic signs all around the apartment about what you can’t do (a polite list in one place would have been more than enough). The shower was half broken and really tiny. “Toiletries” literally just included one small bar of hand soap and four sachets of god knows what (assuming it was shower gel, but didn’t actually say so on the packaging!) Even though I said I’d pay at the property, my card was charged days before arrival. I understand it wasn’t free cancellation, so it didn’t matter too much, but didn’t allow for the option of paying with a different card at the property, which often comes in useful. I would say you get what you pay for but I’ve stayed at much better (and especially, cleaner) places in gozo for that price. I booked this place because it was last minute and it was the only place available. I would say if that’s the situation and if it’s for a short amount of time, book it, and go in with very low expectations. But otherwise, avoid it!

Pleasant stay

I enjoyed the closeness to central area of Xlendi town, with easy walking distance to waterfront, mini mart and cafes. What I did not like was having to get "dressed" and go down to in front the hotel to get wifi. Do realize that vacay is for "disconnecting", but in this case needed to keep up with work emails for at least an hour a day, so would have liked to do that in pajamas in the room. Also my room balcony faced the street, so thought could get signal there, but it was intermittent even on the balcony. Otherwise, good apartment. With regards to the on site dive place, (I am not a diver) my understanding is that the business was sold to new owners/management, and not sure how this affects the hotel itself. Just a quick FYI

Good, basic accommodation.

Good things - central location, nearby public parking, good value for money, comfortable for bed. Poor things - lots of building work nearby (nothing the hotel can do about it), shower not hot, TV remote didn't work. Overall, although a few improvements could be made, it was great value.

Basic hotel in great location

In a great location close to amenities. Accommodation is very dated and basic. Breakfast is not worth the extra money at all; bread, cheese spread, jams, cereals but found some of it was out of date, so we didn't trust it. Staff are helpful and it is set back from the seafront but minutes from bars and restaurants. Gozo is a fantastic island, small, characterful, local buses are amazing with plenty to see and great walks. Enjoy!

Convenient hotel

The only thing which was a bit disappointing was the continental breakfast offered to us ... it was a bit poor - no sausages, no bacon, no ham / salami or anything of that sort.

Great location and apartment

It was the four of us staying at the hotel and we got a two bedroom apartment. Both rooms were good size and we had a very well equipped kitchen with a dining table for four. The whole apartment was very clean and in a good condition. The tv and air conditioning worked fine. The staff was friendly and check in and out was quick and hassle free. We loved the location, being so close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We could also easily park just in front of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this place.
