Motel One Edinburgh-Princes

Incredibly clean and comfortable. The employee on reception/bar was very helpful and took great pride in his work. The location is unbeatable for Edinburgh.

Superb location right on Princes Street and opposite Waverley Station. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The room was modern and comfortable. This is great accommodation at a great price!

excellent location for this hotel, all attractions within easy walking distance and just across the road from the train station. Staff really helpful, check in quick and easy. spacious modern room with large ensuite bathroom. not sure about paper cups for hot drinks, and need to leave more in the room but thats only a small thing following a good stay.

Staff all very pleasant great location five minutes from Waverly station ,nice clean room comfortable bed ,very reasonably priced,great value breakfast certainly would use Motel One hotels again.

Excellent location and spotless hotel.

Can't fault the friendly staff, fast check in or the location, but there are serious issues with the heating in the hotel. Our room was stiflingly hot, to the point I couldn't sleep properly and went to reception at 5am to ask them to turn it down. The thermostat in our room was turned off but the whole hotel is so hot and the staff could only offer to fully open the window as there is no way to control the heating in individual rooms. On the second night we opted for this and the lovely man at the desk went to our room to open it fully for us while we went to dinner. We came back and the room was lovely and cool but we had to mostly close the window in order to shut the curtain when we went to sleep. It became very warm again and we couldn't open the window fully without opening the curtain, and also letting in a lot of outdoor noise which woke us up. Such a shame because the price, location and staff can't be faulted, but I wouldn't come back unless they sort the heating out as it was so uncomfortable to sleep in such heat.
