Grand Hotel Tien Shan

The staff of the hotel was extremely helpful. Our 9 month baby got pretty sick and all staff members helped out with changing bed sheets, bring towels, clean the room. Thank you so much Staff of Tien Shan. Also we stayed in this hotel multiple times when we visit Almaty. Great hotel in a friendly location close to restaurants, shops and parks.

Just one night for a connecting flight. Good location. Within short walking for dining out. comfortable bed and good wifi. Sadly, could hear too much of activities outside my room. Staff was very helpful in getting coffee and small breads for early departure to airport. Will stay there again.

Nice Hotel with friendly staff. Location is in city center close to several fine restaurants and walking parks.

I enjoyed listening to the piano everyday at the lobby it was amazing. Beside the room is very clean and modern with a reasonable price !

Great hotel! Elegant and traditional - close to the heart of Almaty and the beautiful church. Breakfast was the best! And the spa is the best I town! Great service too - thank you.

The hotel is well located within walkable distance of many attractions as well as the subway system, pedestrian streets and restaurants. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was abundant and varied. The staff was courteous and helpful at all times. It would have been nice to have access to TV stations other than in kazakh and russian.

Located in a quiet part of Almaty and ideally situated to explore the north and south parts of Almaty. Some of the roads nearby are pedestrian only, which makes it easier to find your way around town. The hotel is styled in an old-fashioned manner and the rooms are likewise. My deluxe room was probably just about the right size for a single traveller but no coffee is provided, which was a bit annoying. The view from my room was of the back of the hotel so not much to speak about. Breakfast area was spacious with enough options to cater to most people. Staff was friendly enough and helped me get familiar with the major sights around the city. Most evenings there is a pianist playing some lovely music, which does add some charm to the hotel.

Great stay, amazing spa.

Great hotel in a central location, near cathedral, green bazaar, shopping and the 'walking street where lots goes on. Hotel staff are friendly, good service from room cleaning to restaurant to spa to bars. Spa/pool is nice and open until 11.30pm giving ample time to make use of it. Room spacious, clean. no complaints at all.

The hotel was great for a 3days trip. The pool area is nice, the staff were good and the location was good. On the downside, the breakfast was just ok and the hotel felt a bit empty during our stay.
