Very satisfied with property, food was great. Siaan kaan is VERY far from the other property’s/restaurants/beach/bigger pools/young crowd/bar and lounges The shuttle service was TERRIBLE. Minimum of 20-30minute wait to travel between sections. Literally took an hour each way to commute to Covid test location. If I ever returned I would try bahia tulum resort But due to poor shuttle service I most likely will not.

Mine was a last minute R&R trip. My top priorities were quiet and access to the beach. I made the right choice. While not at the beach, I could walk in 25 minutes or take a (frequent) shuttle. I really appreciated the adults-only aspect of the resort, yet I could roam and enjoy the offerings of all of the adjoining resorts as well, including a Sian Ka'an-only area of the beach at Akumal. The staff were keen and attentive. The accommodations were very nice. Not luxury, and, as others have pointed out, a bit tired, but I spent much less time in my room than I thought. Food was so plentiful and delicious.

Loved the spa- had several massages and my husband had a pedicure. Gals were super friendly and accommodating. Gracias Rosa y Eloise. Pool activities were a blast.. gracias Angel Gustavo Melissa Adrian.. laughed and learned new dance moves!! Thanks also to Pati from Coming2 for finding us a last minute ride to the airport.. we had the wrong return date. And last but not least, thank you Kathia for your help at troubleshooting a mistake we made with our travel dates. Waa waa waa.. didn’t want to go back to reality!!

We enjoyed the hotel overall. Be forewarned, there are no elevators anywhere, so if your room is on the second or third floor, you will have to climb the stairs. We had the butler service included with our room which was a nice touch. The only thing that could have improved the butler service would be if we could have a golf cart assigned to that person to transport guests to other parts of the resorts. Vickie was great and the property was beautiful. There's a lot of nature that surrounds the property and fun little animals.

This was my first time coming to Mexcio, and i couldnt have felt more at home. The staff at Bahia Principe were so welcoming, helpful, and truly some of the kindest people I've met. Would recommend this resort any day!

This is my 2nd time staying here.The staff & property are excellent. This hotel is over an hr away from the airport. Something to keep in mind bc With traffic it could take almost two. Bahia principe gives you access to the 3 other hotels and those are huge properties and it gives you the ability to have a little of everything. If you want more of a fun family vibe or a party vibe you can go to the shows, restaurants and events at the other hotels but even Sian kaan you could see they do their best to provide great entertainment. The restaurants and buffet food and selection were awesome. Just about everything tasted very fresh and just well prepared. My rating would be a 5 but there are a few things that could improve to make this hotel a 5. The trolleys take ample time taking you to other hotels & you have to do a lot of guess work and asking to figure out which trolley is going where. I understand these are huge properties but one of the occasions our driver literally circled the same area twice as if he was not sure where he was came out into the main road and went back in. Also the process of getting your covid test is very frustrating & unorganized and when we asked questions the staff was unsure & nothing was explained thoroughly. Waited an hr and a half for a rapid test. I did appreciate the efforts of Camilo in the front lobby to expedite results as well as Aerleth who planned our dinners & greeted us when we arrived. Short but memorable trip!

I read a lot of mixed reviews, mostly stating the food was not great and also that the beach was across a highway. The food here was great. Bahi Principe compound has 4 different hotels and in sian kaan you get access to all of the properties. There is no beach on this side, but there are trolleys all around that take you between the hotels, which is why people say the beach is across the highway, it is, but it is about a 5 min ride away. The a la carte dinner restaurants were amazing. Sian Kaan is very quiet, and all of the action is at the Akumal or Coba pools, but there are children at those pools. The Sian Kaan pools do not play any music and are pretty empty. The rooms are nice, they are not modern. But they’re spacious. We stayed at a garden jacuzzi room, and did not use the jacuzzi as it is basically ground level and there is a lot of trees around and I was too scared with the wildlife around like ants and spiders. We are privilege members so our reservations for dinner were made by the hotel, but if you want to ensure you have reservations for dinner every night, download the Bahia principe app 5 days before your trip, and make your reservations. The hotel is about 1.5 away from Cancun airport, and about 15 miles away from downtown tulum beach. You can get a taxi from here to downtown if you’d like. They don’t really have much of a nightlife, everything ends at midnight and sometimes you need to go to Akumal or Coba for music. They had nice shows. Overall good!

We liked the remoteness of the property. the frequent shuttles to the other properties, beach, restaurants. The units are aged and in need of some updating - rust and malfunctioning hardware. The fact that reservations need to be made at the majority of the restaurants. If you want something different - out of the way, no kids, this property if for you.
