Hotel Michelino Bologna Fiera

Room keeping was clean, it was smelling nice when we enter the room. Breakfast was good with various kinds of fruit and coffee. Reception assisted us for everything we need. Just we needed to walk a little longer to reach the bus stop, but definitely so clean and nice hotel had to cost higher in the city center.

All very fine - Just ... for me as a world traveler very important: l wasn’t able to use n connect to my VPN - for my security! (Wifi security n quality all over Italy is a nightmare). during my entire stay, surfing in a unsecured web for past 10 days - l got (the bill), a message from Apple, that my iPhone has compromised n immediate action is required! grrr! Mmngt wouldn’t change it asked for on first day of arrival. Television is also restricted. You want be able to switch to original Language, even if the remote control has a button for it ! Once more Mmngt decision - l tried hard ... first hotel in EU l had this issue ... petty! *Multilingual stuff +

Stayed in Bologna to see local sites and the Ducati factory & museum. Hotel was further out of town than we expected but still a very nice place to stay

Hotel Michelino was perfect for our stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help us out on many occasions. We didn’t have a car, but there is a bus stop fairly close to the hotel to get into town. The breakfast was also delicious! I highly recommend staying here if you fancy a short trip to Bologna.

I stayed at Michelino for a stop-over on my way to the Dolomites. The hotel is nice and clean, the room has a big bed, and the bathroom has big shower, everything is very comfortable. The area though is far from everything, so you need a car to go anywhere. But I chose this hotel exactly for the area, because it is extremely easy to get off and on the highway from it, which is what I needed, so it worked great for me.

We had this hotel booked for 3 nights, although our arrival was at 8am so we didn’t really stay the first night. The staff are pleasant and the location near the motorway with free parking is good. The breakfast is a pretty poor spread, but ok for this level of hotel. My biggest problem was the problem with prostitutes. The area has prostitutes all over. And it seems that they also frequent the hotel as the ones we saw on the street were in the hotel at breakfast. There is an RV parked outside the hotel which is full of them and the driver was a fairly exposed lady which no one should have to see. So, we checked out after our 1st full night. It is a shame, as without the major issue, it would have been ok. We won’t be staying here again.
