Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ashland

We went for a weekend get away it was quiet friendly and very comfortable.

Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. We would stay here again.

The biggest problem was the elevator was broke and we had to carry out bags to the 3rd floor. Bed was comfy but the pillows had a funky smell. Easy on & off the interstate though.

Hotels.com gives this place a fabulous rating. Maybe we just got the worst room. And maybe the staff was having a terrible day but I give them a miserable rating. Our room was so damp that the sheets felt wet. We stay at Holiday Inn Express often and this was the first one that was not satisfactory. There was no Free breakfast as advertised. The room needed an update. The staff wasn't very pleasant. Stay somewhere else in Ashland.

This was a business trip and I stay in Ashland every 3 months. Nice hotel but room was dirty and you hear every single person coming and going in the rooms around you, doors are very loud slamming. Upon arriving, the room reeked of a recent vacuuming with a vacuum that needed to be emptied/cleaned. Smelled like a dirty dog. I hung my dress clothes in the wardrobe and the next day when I pulled them out they were covered in dust. Not an exaggeration. I have no idea how or why, must've been extremely dusty in there and static cling got the best of my clothes. Bed was not good either. Shower was nice and condition of hotel overall was good.

It was like a more expensive hotel but for a great price, service was great! The only thing I would like to see is awnings over the side entry doors it was pouring down rain when I was trying to get into the side door and there is absolutely no protection.

I was originally charged a booking fee of 100.00 per room which I did not expect. It was refunded when I checked out though. My son had an accident and fell in the room and had to call 911 to take him to the emergency room. He split his toe open on metal trim that covered the baseboard tile which was sticking out a little past the tile. He dislocated one toe and fractured two others and had to have stitches . We were in ER for 4 hours so we didn’t really get to enjoy the room which was very nice. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
