Providenciales is well known for its seaside, while top attractions include Grace Bay Beach. This beachside city has something for everyone including seafood restaurants and sights like Chalk Sound and Taylor Bay Beach—all within a tropical setting.
Would recommend bringing lots of sun screen & mosquito repellent. Wish that I had hired a taxi the first day and hit up the supermarket for water and supplies. A water or can of soda will cost you about $5 a piece otherwise.

A 10+ island! We were blown away by the beauty of the island and the friendly people of Provo. I am going down a rabbit hole of real estate listings!

The snorkeling was amazing but the ocean was rough most of our stay, so we didn't get to do as much as we would like to have. Not a lot to do on the island if you are not a beach/water person. Found some great restaurants and enjoyed our time here.

We really enjoyed the area. We hit Coco Bistro and carried out from Coco Van (ate on our screen in porch and enjoyed our last sunset). We also hit Mango Reef, Infiniti, Bugaloos, and several times next door at Cabana Bar & Grill...all excellent!

The beach was beautiful and the Royal West Indies Resort was fantastic. We enjoyed being able to borrow complimentary bicycles to ride into the village for souvenir shopping. Overall, the Grace Bay Area was clean and beautiful.

Beautiful island to visit. We will be going back for sure. Be aware they drive on the left so if renting a car you need to be prepared for that. We did not need a car as we walked to most restaurants.

As long as you stay at the beaches you won't be disappointed, definitely the star of the show. Once you drive off the resort inland you'll see the difference in income levels unfortunately.

The wild places and beaches are its greatest asset and must be vigorously protected from too many tourists and too many rich villa owners and too much noisy water sport!

The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos
10/10 Excellent
"Compared to other Ritz-Carlton resorts, this location is smaller but that lends to such a unique and relaxing experience. You don’t ever have to compete for beach or pool chairs and the location can’t be beat as the resort is on Grace Bay and there are so many food options within a quick walking distance. The staff and service was impeccable and I had the time of my life with my family here. I’d so back in a heartbeat. "
"The overall stay at the Rockhouse was amazing! From the private transfer from/to airport, to the dining options on the property, to our room, to all the amenities on the property everything was amazing!!! 100/100! The only annoying part was there’s no store on the property, so if you ever need a juice, water, or snacks after the restaurant closes, it’s pretty hard.
The hotel was very accommodating providing water after hours! Other than that, everything was phenomenal and definitely will be staying here every-time I’m in Turks!! "
"Beautiful property. As someone who vacations to Cancun and St.Thomas, the beach at the resort was just as if not more beautiful. The water is photoshop version blue and warm. The beach itself in terms of the sand is the deeper kind of sand so a bit tough to walk through but not rocky at all. The beach could be picked up better as there was some garbage around and things left on chairs multiple days. Pools and “lazy river” are great, the pool closest to the beach was way too warm but the other two are cooler. Loved that there are little nooks and crannies with loungers for privacy and quiet. They are building a big resort next store but the noise from it was not annoying and not super noticeable. As many people have said, the service as Hemingways restaurant is sooo slowwww. The food is average there but the sister resorts food is great and there is a free shuttle that will take you to those every hour. It’s a very relaxing, very beautiful, a calm vibe all around. The pools do not have the loud music and people trying to get you to play volleyball and do yoga like Cancun does. It’s much more serene and leave you alone. The only big negative was the spa. It was not a spa, it was a room that was sterile and not calm or relaxing at all. The actual massages themselves were poor quality and it is VERY expensive. As someone who gets massages regularly, and for my much cheaper, I was very disappointed I paid anything for that service, let alone what it actually cost. "
"A Slice of Paradise at Royal West Indies Resort!
From the moment we arrived at Royal West Indies Resort, we knew we were in for something special. The turquoise water was unreal—the kind of vivid blue you see in travel magazines and dream about during long work weeks. Just steps from our room, the beach felt like our own private slice of paradise—soft white sand, gentle waves, and that unforgettable ocean glow that made every sunrise and sunset feel magical.
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. The bartenders—Jay, Herby, and Gab—were absolute legends. Whether it was a fresh rum punch, a creative cocktail, or just a good laugh at the bar, they made every drink feel like a celebration. Friendly, attentive, and full of island charm, they added so much fun and warmth to our vacation.
A special shoutout to Sherman at the concierge desk—an absolute gem! He went above and beyond to help us plan activities, make great dining recommendations, and always greeted us with a smile and positive energy. His local insight and hospitality made everything smoother and more enjoyable.
Royal West Indies is not just a beautiful resort—it’s a place where the staff genuinely care about making your stay memorable. We’ll be back for sure, and next time we’re bringing friends!
10/10 highly recommend. 🌴🍹💙"
