Mayfair Hotel Tunneln

I decided to explore Malmo on the way to Gothenburg from Copenhagen. This place attracted me for the location (close to the station) and price which was much less compared to anything like this in Copenhagen. I was pleasantly surprised. It has rich history with interesting displays. Sitting room with coffee (seems like staple in Sweden) used be a library. The breakfast place in the basement was also very interesting. Front desk staff are all very nice and helpful, particularly Ann. She helped me guide through quick tour of the town and helped me get my train ticket online, much easier than going to the train station. It is also located to the edge of the old town convenient for sight seeing.

This is a fabulous hotels. I was impressed with the new plumbing in bathroom. The free breakfast buffet is to die for. It is so impressive that this hotel is so old, yet very modernized over the years. I don't think they have air-conditioning. They have one very small elevator, does not go to 4th floor. Staff are extremely helpful. WiFi needs improvement. I kept getting knocked off. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay.

We had a lovely stay. Close to the train station. Area has lots of great shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Loved the breakfast buffet!!! Loved the library for a cup of coffee, cookies and chatting about the day.

Very friendly and professional staff, great location, impressive lobby and corridors etc. Breakfast was excellent and served in a very atmospheric cellar. However, room itself was simply too small. Sagging single beds a few feet away from my door opening directly into the corridor. Toilet/shower room even smaller. These classic/contemporary places have to be perfect otherwise they're a bit skin crawling for me. Hated the trunking and wires down the walls.
