Oktiabrskaya Hotel

Great hotel, close to all attractions, next to subway and trains. Very clean, very comfortable beds, soft linens. Everything you nee is provided, slippers, tooth brush..... and i found it on Hotels.com cheap, much cheaper than at the hotel. Highly recommend!

The first night was extremely loud, people were shouting on the floor at 3:30am. Breakfast is not great, and staff remove your plates and cups too fast whenever you go for a refill you lose your place.

Staff really does not care about their guests needs, they can make you waiting for more than half of hour for the simple request. I left cell phone charger in the room, gave off the card key. Couple hours later I recalled about the charger, asked to check the room and give me my charger back. They made this simple request a big deal, I have been waiting for more than 45 minutes, then I went to find a cleaning person by myself. Reception girls really did not care, and that was very disappointing. To make the long story short, my charger was gone forever, and I had to buy another one. Also, they don't have safe lockers in the rooms, so guests have either to take a risk to leave valuables in the room or carry them all the time. That was very inconvenient.

Nice hotel in a good location, just a short walk from A Metro station. The staff are friendly and the hotel is well - maintained. Breakfast is Russian - style but there is a wide selection of cereals, breads, cheese, mats, etc for a continental breakfast. Good value for money, considering the location.

There is no room safe. Hotel is close to subway - big plus

Nice hotel close to the moscowsky train station and subway, near Nevsky prospekt (3 min to walk).If you are arriving on a train, this hotel is a perfect place to stay .You don't need a transportation. If you are a tourist and like to walk, it's a great hotel for you. You can go by Nevsky prospect. to the downtown , Russian museum, Kazan Cathedral, Hermitage and..... The rooms are big enough and very clean. There is an air conditioner, you can control room temperature The beds are just perfect; there's no soft and fluffy mattress. They are exactly what you need to rest. The pillows are good too I loved this hotel. It is very good for this price

The location is perfect, The hotel is just a few meters from the Ploschad Vosstaniya Metro Station and the same distance to the Train Station. Also the hotel is located exactly were the Nevsky street starts, so you may just walk and start right away exploring the city.
