Rough stay

I normally only write good reviews though in all my years traveling this has to be if not the worst trip certainly one of the worst trips. When arriving there was lack of communication on how our all inclusive packages worked. We weren’t provided with the Wi-Fi login info until the second day. The sales rep was a bit pushy trying to get us to purchase tours/ activities. We weren’t notified of any covid testing or information at the resort this having us to take tests at the airport. The beds were uncomfortable and the sofa bed was horrible. No towels in the bathroom until we had to call down and ask.no instructions on how to work the room lights and a/c. The a/c unit was loud and challenging to sleep through. The tub/shower was filthy with black mold and was very dated. One outlet in the bathroom near sink es coming off wall leaving it exposed to water which is a big hazard. Garbage disposal didn’t work, coffee maker didn’t work, fridge worked sub par. Unfortunately overall it was a crappy 6 days we were ready to leave on day 4.

Good for the price you pay. Good food. Friendly people. Needs some updates. Good location.

The staff was outstanding however the room was not cleaned or stocked properly. No face towels or hand towels. The showers were not clean and the fixtures were full of water spots. The floor was not mopped or swept. The buffet was lacking in choice and the food was not very good. The grill was fairly good. Location was nice but it was hard to get change for dollar to tip staff.

Booked as a family friendly vacation (3yo 5yo). Kids enjoyed themselves at the kid area pool. But the issues started upon checking in. Our rooms (2) were not ready when we arrived for an extended period. For a kid friendly property, there were numerous areas that posed safety concerns, from hallways to beach access, and even general walking areas. The property is overdue for a complete renovation. There were more guests than the property could accommodate. It seemed like they were overbooked and understaffed. The specialty restaurants were inconsistent on the level of service. You could go a full day with a lot of positives, but then one thing could ruin the whole experience. Our final specialty restaurant experience was at the Italian restaurant. The service was horrific. We had to go to a walk up bar to get drinks because nobody ever too the drink order. We ended up leaving towards the end because it was so bad. They had a movie night the kids were excited for, but the sound was so terrible and there were obstructions from umbrellas. Poorly executed. It’s terrible when a 5yo asks to leave, especially since it was the one thing they were excited to see. The rooms were not stocked with towels, mini bars had to be requested. Automation on basic guest needs was lacking. The listed of negatives outweighs the positives, could easily keep going. A positive, when you did receive service at the lobby bar or the pool bar, the staff was friendly.

We liked the private beach and location in San Jose Cabo. The negatives though totally outweighed the positives-our rooms were not ready, the front desk was awful about check in and we had to hound them for hours to finally get a room, only to be given substandard rooms and not even in the same categories which is terrible. This was a team building trip-I was paying for 3 rooms and it was just an awful experience. I had to pay $80 USD for a horrible breakfast because our rooms were not ready, even though they said we could use the facilities and all inclusive options-apparently they just instituted a new rule that disallows that-would have liked to known that before arriving to find out it won't be all included. The facilities were extremely dirty, many issues with the room from faulty plugs, sewage smells, loose toilets, a clogged sink and a inoperative garbage disposal. House keeping was awful-they wouldn't come until super late-sometimes 6 or 7pm, then they would come super early the next day and chase us out of the room. Lines, lines, lines and more lines in that the resort was severly understaffed and not prepared for the groups there. I will not be going back ever again and highly recommend you adjust the rating of this resort as it is just awful.

The Resort location is great and has a lot of potential. My room had a great view however, the AC in the bedroom was not working, my water was shut off one morning and no hot water for a couple days. Also they did not restock the room with water. Contact was made with the front desk but because they were so understaffed nothing would happen. I ended up going into town to purchase water. Some staff were great, others were very rude.

the kids pool was perfect. Room was clean but old we had no running water one day and the fridge was not filled every day. They had no animation staff or shows at night

Room: overall okay. The hallway is tile and when the service carts rolled by early in the morning it was very loud. Also the hallow door allowed for alot of noise. Our fridge was stocked but no coffee during our entire stay. One day our TP ran low and they didnt think they should leave us more despite it only being our 2nd night of 4 nights. Outside pool areas: very fun. Pool is cold so along if its a hot day your good. But on a cooler day, it's cold. Only used family areas. Kids enjoyed the kids club. The kiddie pool provided our kids (6&8) hours of fun. People with young kids need to have more conscience and be more vigilant-the kiddie pool was closed for half of day due to an accident. Food: Buffet O = 7/10 overall. Some good options but not the best. Had basics of pancakes, omlet stations for breakfast. Lunch was okay. We preferred the hot dog and cheeseburger from the pool area snacks for lunch. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was 2/10. Very small portions except the pizza was good portion. Pirate/Mexican night events where entertaining and food was excellent- 8/10. Staff was very friendly, helpful and showed alot of grace & resilence. We saw alot of people yell at them and they always had a smile on their face and were polite. Overall our rating would be an 8/10. We would return.

The staff appeared to be short staffed, we waited 3 hours to check in, we also waited another 3 hours to get sheets, pillows and blankets for the pull out sofa. Our complimentary water bottles in the fridge never got re stocked and it took multiple requests to have them re stocked and this was a daily issue. Another frustrating thing was that the resort required a mask while outdoors near the pool when ordering a drink from the outdoor bar. I mean literally outdoors, in the hot 80 degree weather where the walk up bar was, but yet the adult pool that had a bar in the pool didn’t require a mask? Too many inconsistencies, the outdoor restaurant also required a mask to check in or else they wouldn’t give you a table, but then you walk 2 steps in sit in your chair, and you can take your mask off. Super lame and ridiculous. Overall the amenities were ok, I just felt like their was a lot of things that the resort could do better to make a vacation a better experience for guests.
