Moldy hotel!

I’ve stayed at hostels that were waaaaaay nicer than this hotel.There was a lot of mold in the bathroom and rust, as well. The bed was a sad rock and it just looked like we were staying at a sad, cheap motel. Also, the elevator only holds up to 4 people so if two have bags, thats all it can fit. We had to wait for the elevator 6 times bc it was already full.

Terrible service! Our shower holder was broken and the shower door didn’t close all the way flooding the bathroom each time. We asked for it to be fixed early morning and when we came back late evening it still wasn’t fixed. We kept being locked out of our room and at one point when we got locked out, we went back down to inquire and were told the receptionist when we checked in made a mistake and didn’t collect full payment for our 4 night stay (when it had only been one night) and payment should have been collected upfront. We’ve stayed at many hotels in many countries and they collect upon checkout but considering they hadn’t fixed what we asked them to and then asked us for full payment without providing the service then locking us out and telling us it was an unrelated issue? We were livid! One of the staff upfront, a gentleman was also very rude. The manager told us we could contact her anytime for the issue and the staff member told us he couldn’t contact her and also told me to be quiet at some point because I was upset. We did pay the hotel bit for all 4 nights and when asked to void and we would pay upon checkout, they refunded instead of a void same day (30 min later) and made up a story saying in Italy they could only cancel and not void. BS!Completely unhappy with the service so we checked out 2 nights early and only paid for one night of stay for the inconvenience caused during what is supposed to be our vacation.

The hotel is very close to the city centre and we had a view of key attractions from our room, including the Dome. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was very quiet so we got a good night sleep. The bathroom needs upgrading because mould was starting to form around the shower. We also found ants in the room. The room is very minimal equipped with only one towel and a tea towel per person. No kettle or glasses provided.

It was far from star 3 hotel. Noisy with no sound isolation, we woke up by neighbor's phone ring and flush of toilet. There was no even ONE hook that you can put your towels. There was no klinex. The linen had questionable strains. No iron, fridge, luggage stand and night stand.

I loved the art and pictures of Florence around the property. The facilities were very clean and modern. The staff was great and so helpful! Our room was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.
