MainStay Suites Chicago Schaumburg

I did not like the dirti ess of our room. The counter was sticky, food still on it. Mold in the cofee msker, food still in the fridge from previous guests. Sticky stuff on carpet AND THE WORST IS THE BLOW DRYER BURNT UP WHOLE I WAS I USING IT. IT SPARKED AND BLEW SMOKE OUT THE BACK. COULD HAVE CAUGHT MY HAIR ON FIRE. I called the front desk and told them. They really said nothing, said they couldn't get me another cuz they are mounted to the wall... I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN, NEITHER WILL MY FAMILY. with everything going on this year with Covid, i WOULD NOT EXPECT OUR ROOM TO BE DIRTY AT ALL. SHOULD BE CLEANER THAN SNY OTHER TOOM IVE EVER SEEN BEFORE. THAT CERTAINLY WAS NOT THE CASE

The room was very clean, bathroom had a very modern look, overall really comfortable calm stay

The property met our needs for a long term stay due to a job relocation. Good price for a 2- room suite. No breakfast or maid service due to the pandemic but that is understandable. Good location.

I was here in 2017 and my room was immaculate! It was super spacious and clean! This time, the room was not so clean. There were stains and fingerprints on stuff like the housekeeper missed those spots. The stay was quiet and comfortable and the front desk associates were really nice. I would probably stay here again with hopes that the whole room is a little cleaner next time. Overall, my stay was nice.

Upon arrival we fist noticed the room was not very clean, the next thing we saw was dead roaches on the counter and kitchen floor. When it was time fir my son to go to sleep he went to let the sleep away sofa out and noticed it was terribly stained. One of the pillows was very badly stained with what appeared to be mold. There was food waisted on the inside of one of the food pantries. I have stayed before but never have I experienced anything of the sort.

It was a good stay for the money, but I feel like our room could have been much cleaner. We cleaned it when we got there and thank goodness we did.

HORRIFYINGLY filthy. First room had handprints all over walls, doors, doorframes, etc. a curly hair on the toilet seat, toothpaste splatters on the bathroom walls, it was so bad I asked for a different one - and the second one was even dirtier and reeked of grease. Someone is washing the things on the cleaning list, and not even looking at any other part of the room to see where the dirt is.

There was a robbery on the same floor as mine where police came and sat outside the hotel for hours where I was scared to go anywhere. Aside from that there service was not great. One of the workers was very nice and helpful (a male) and another was very rude (a female). They did not have free breakfast which was not listed anywhere on here. Other than the only good was that the rooms were comfy and in a good location.

The hotel and room were clean. The refrigerator made a big noise at night.The mattress and pillow were old and uncomfortable.
