Red Roof Inn Florence - Civic Center

The room they gave us smelled strongly of urine. I asked for another room. The lady at the front had an attitude about it and said they can only switch the rooms twice and then we would have to be refunded. The second room was ok. Still was nasty but not as bad as yet he first. This was just a quick test stop got us while driving through. Never again will we stay here. Terrible!!!

Quite noisy all thru the night, hooting and howling. The attendant made me feel cheap by not want to accept the $1.50 fee for the safe that we didn't want. Her exact words,"It's only a dollar fifty but if you feel that way about it". How would she feel if her electric bill went up that much a day.

The stay was fine. There were some issues with the lock on our door sticking, but the woman at the front desk was helpful in showing us how to work the tricky lock. There was no hair dryer in the room which was kind of an annoyance. Overall, it was relatively inexpensive and accommodated our small dog without additional cost, so, we’ll definitely stay there again.

The lady at the front desk would not take my credit card because she said it wasnt a recognized bank card... i bank with One of the most recognized chains. I almost couldnt stay. She was not very polite about the whole situation. Luckily my girlfried had her credit card. There were bugs on the floor and the room smelled like peoplehad been smoking.

I didn’t even get to stay in the room because when we got there the clerk told us that we couldn’t check in unless we had a card because It was after hours even though checkout says 3pm-whenever. It was never stated when I booked nor when I looked online nor in any policy I looked up. I research every policy of every hotel I check in and that was a first. And I’ve stayed at this particular hotel 3 Times. This policy is weird and classist because not everyone has a card and what if I was homeless and had just gotten enough money for a room for a night. I wouldn’t even be able to stay because of some weird made up policy. Ridiculous and will be taking my money elsewhere.

Location to my needs, quick accessibility to highway and my needs.

Populated area. Can keep to yourself for the night. Enough to eat in surrounding area.

Fallon at front desk was great . A nice ,friendly person who helped me when I had trouble with room key. Good place off I95 to stop overnight if you have pets.

It needs a new Flapper the toilet ran all night. The pillows were like Bricks, But it was a Bed and a TV which was all we needed for the night. I asked for a downstairs so was put in the older back of the hotel. Maybe one of the newwer rooms were better!
