Courtyard Marriott Ocala

I checked in a week ago had a balcony . Everything was fine . I check in a week later standard king room was not as nice as the week before and the price was more than quoted . Then there was a cockroach in the room . So I requested another and was moved

The outside of the hotel definitely needs some TLC. Definitely needs to be painted, very run down looking. The room was pretty decent, other than the small bathroom. Need a better breakfast option.

In the last night of our 4 days trip. This was the one with better facilities and service. Clean and comfortable room. With different amenities inside the room. Further more tv options for free.

As soon as I get to the Hotel to check in I notice that there is a mask requirement to enter. I do not wear masks. Not only do I have Asthma which is a valid medical reason for not wearing one, I also believe that it is an infringement on my civil liberties. Once I entered without a mask, the associate at the service counter asked me to wear one. I explained that I cannot wear one, that I have asthma, and was excused medically from wearing one. She quickly and rudely told me that Asthma was NOT a valid excuse and that I had to wear one anyways. Florida does not have a statewide mask mandate. I felt very shamed by the associate and was immediately put into a bad mood. I had to wear the mask to get my room. I would have cancelled the reservation on the spot but there were no other rooms available in town. I felt violated. Not to mention the lobby restaurant and bar were closed for Covid reasons even though the rest of the state and other surrounding restaurants and bars were open. I will never stay at a Marriott brand hotel ever again.

The hotel is very clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and personable. I would recommend staying here if you are in the Ocala area.

Great Location

Was very disappointed. We had stayed in previous years during traveling Florida and had a decent experience. Booked a room with a balcony and when we got their was told there was none available. He said sorry about our luck and put us in a room with a window that didn’t even open. Finally got to bed at 11pm and was woken up by a couple in a screaming match outside of our room at 12 am. At this point no going back to bed cause now I am worried about my vehicle parked right next to them fighting. Call front desk and the cops finally show at 1am. Cops leave about 1:45 and I am thinking problem solved. Wrong ! 2:30 am screaming match starts again. Call front desk twice and I am told there is nothing they can do. Couple finally left at 4:30am and at this point the night was shot. Packed up and left. Front desk told me since I wasn’t a member of their rewards program there was nothing they could do for me.
