All the snorkelling tours from cancun come to puerto Morelos. This just goes to show how wonderful the water and beaches are. The water is calmer here because of the reef break. Better for families and small children than cancun is. Safer waters.

The quiet fishing village is morphing into a vibrant tourist destination with lots of restaurants, hotels, and rentals of all sorts. Near the end of the high season there was no place to park, sidewalks were crowded, and the beach was busy.

We did a tequila tasting with food pairings at Sirenas and it was great! There are a lot of good taco places on the Colonia side if you want to create your own taco tour:-)

The town of Puerto Morelos is worth a visit while it lasts. Lots of development happening on the port side. It will be just another Cancun or Playa in a few years.

The area is a cute little fishing village that is quaint but has grown over the years with more and more tourism and has become more crowded. Mexico and general has also become more expensive shockingly. Prices were on par or more expensive than US.

Puerto is a really nice fun location Much quieter and smaller then Playa or Tulum, puerto is compact, walkable and filled with excellent dining options. Good veaches, snorkling abound.

Puerto Morelos is low key so if that's what you're after then it's perfect. The people are very nice, many great restaurants and also very safe. The Ki Restaurant next to the hotel has the best tacos ever. It's not Cancún but on a good way.
"I like how the kids pool and the adults pool was close enough which enables the adults to watch over their kids while having fun. I wish there was more resturants on the facility. The kids club is the best i have seen so far and the staff at the kids club are so amazing!!! "

"Everything about this resort is awesome, everything is margaritaville for sure, every single staff member was so friendly even the ones just passing by.We do a lot of all inclusives & here the food was really good. Love that there is a brewery that was fun. the only thing I didn't like was the big pool by ocean had black slime on all the walls, felt like algae not sure if they were trying to shock it at night & wasn't working but we wouldn't go in it, good thing is there is another pool that didn't have anything on the walls, cant see ocean but quite & there is a swim up bar at that one too. over all we had an awesome experience, would go back. "

"Property was clean and well-kept. House keepers did an amazing job cleaning. I went out after dinner and came back to a clean room with bed remade and towels/washcloths restocked. Only 1 restaurant on the secrets side that was really good for breakfast lunch and dinner. However, you would have to go on the breathless side for other restaurants and entertainment. Secrets is for sure, the relaxing side, but you get the best of both worlds "
