Kolkata's Park Street neighbourhood is known for its monuments and restaurants, and entices visitors with attractions, including ISKCON Kolkata, Sri Sri Radha Govind Temple and Camac Street.
If you like haggling for the best price, you might want to head out to New Market in Dharmatala and take in the atmosphere. Splash some more cash at Sudder Street and Camac Street.

Kolkata is not for everyone. It's not as tourist friendly as other indian cities but rich in culture and history. If you like to get off the beaten path and enjoy Indian street life, there is no place like Kolkata.

Kolkata has changed in 10 years since we last visited. More western style shops and eateries, but it still has the usual chaos and delights. Major new infrastructure i would say has been less sympathetic to its surroundinfgs - S Asia for you.

Kolkata is always Kolkata. If anyone wants to enjoy anything in your life come and visit Kolkata. I have been coming to Kolkata since 1969 to till
"The stay was good, although some aspects of the property are expectedly old (probably by design).
Otherwise, it was a good stay and the staff were very helpful. "
"I really was impressed with the JW. The rooms were new, beds comfortable, service was great in most areas like the breakfast area and the concierge. Very helpful and smooth business stay. Just the bar was lacking in service. Great place to stay in Kolkata. 25 min from the airport. My driver Ranjun was great and drove me around to various appointments for the day. He was excellent."
"LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay there again when we are next in Kolkata."
