As a small town there were lots of places to eat plus a variety of pubs and shops, beach close by and lovely surrounding countryside, in all, well worth a visit.

Local town with local amenities. Work needs to bring high street up to scratch but that's reflective in most high streets nowadays . I felt safe and the locals were friendly.

Had an excellent dinner at "Our Place"which was recommended by guesthouse owner, David. A must is a visit to Annandale Distillery.
"Bed amazingly comfortable, food good, room amazing but needs some freshing up on walls(some scuff marks on paint).
Would recommend for an overnight stay and will be back at some point."
"Lovely place. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurants are both fantastic and you got a free drink in the on-site restaurant if you booked a meal and in the apartment you got complimentary crumpets butter and milk which was very helpful"
"First impression were great, plenty of parking, very friendly staff. Room clean but slightly tired. That drawback was more than made up for by the amazing food. We the steak pie and the clam chowder. Both were fantastic, very tasty very filling. Breakfast the next day was great as well. Will be back if we're ever in the area."
